Vegans

I thought of trying the vegan diet. But, I cannot find any locally sourced organic, free-range vegans.

I ordered a vegan take-away once, but all I got was a stupid vegetable curry.

Mind you, it probably had a higher IQ than most vegans.

What do you think happens to all those fluffy bunny-wunnies, the baa-lambs, the moo-cows and the hens that you want spared?

It they’re lucky, they find food, have lots of sex. And then something kills them and eats them.

If they’re unlucky, something starts eating them before it’s finished killing them.

If they’re really unlucky, nothing hunts them down, they just get some disease and die in pain and loneliness because they can’t keep up with the rest.

If they’re really, really unlucky, they just get old, too feeble and arthritic to find food, they’re teeth are gone so they can’t eat it anyway. And they starve to death, alone and in pain.

Predators, lions, wolves, hawks, cats are nature’s end-of-life care system. They select the weak, the old, the lame and put them out of their misery. They pick the rabbit that wasn’t clever enough to scamper off as soon as it heard a movement, wasn’t slick enough to crouch and hide.

I hate the term “survival of the fittest”. It’s silly because the criterion for fitness is the success at survival. It should be “survival of the survivors” – nonsense.

The real phrase is “The slowest shall be lunch”

I agree that domesticated animals should be treated properly, looked after. But that is a matter of simple respect for all living things.

And by the way, veggies, that applies to trees and plants as well. Chopping down a tree in order to build a railway nobody wants, or because she spoils some prick’s view, is just downright disgusting.
