UFO/UAP Hearings

David Grusch, giving evidence to a congressional committee:

“was informed in the course of my official duties of a multi-decade UAP crash retrieval and reverse engineering programme…….”

Seriously?

If, as some claim, these “UAPs” are extra terrestrial  in origin, we are talking of inter galactic, inter stellar, or at the very least inter planetary craft.

So, they overcome all the obstacles to this very long-distance travel. And then crash on our planet?

You would think after all that cleverness in getting here, they would manage to avoid the occasional mountain or whatever.

And the “reverse engineering programme”; not very impressive is it? Decades long and what have we got to show for it? Microwave ovens? Some very primitive attempts at nuclear fusion? Space missions that can just about reach the edge of the solar system after years of travel, powered by over-sized fireworks?

Before going further, need to get something out of the way.

A problem with all high security operations is they tend to attract the “secret squirrel” mentality; those who just love hugging a secret to their chests. Something that only they and others of their clique can access. No, this is not childish, it is a character trait that we all have, but some can’t handle it.

The result is that things get classed as secret which should in fact be available to all.

Perhaps there is a sense that material cannot be released for fear of causing public distress and panic. Wake up, Pal. What really spooks the rest of us is the thought that stuff we should rightfully know is being withheld. The only thing that causes panic is misinformation and disinformation.

It is this history of withholding wrongly classified material that gives rise to the conspiracy theories.

I mean, are you kidding? Considering the idiots we have to tolerate running the planet on an everyday basis, I think little green men would be welcomed with open arms.

So, let’s look at the “crashes”.

At this point let’s discount a deliberate landing and a “take me to your leader” scenario. (if they are truly advance beings, their greeting would be “take me to a bar and for God’s sake keep me away from your Loonie Leaders”)

There are three possibilities:

There aren’t any.

This is a very tricky problem. Proving that there have been no visitors, no crash sites and no wreckage is a logical impossibility. Even a square metre search of the entire planet’s surface, above and below the waterline would not constitute proof. The only progress is an “open book” availability of requested relevant data and the question will always remain unsolved. That is unlikely to happen

They did crash.

Why? For extra terrestrial craft and occupants, with the technology, development and skillsets we would expect of them, what went wrong?

Part of the “reverse engineering process” should be a crash analysis to show the cause.

If wreckage has been recovered, there should  have been a virtual goldmine of answers to engineering and scientific questions which have eluded us for years. If not, then the technology is so similar to ours that it poses the question: “how the hell did you get here in that jalopy?”

They were shot down.

Oops! That was rude, and careless. It is excusable if it was felt they were in fact terrestrial in origin and constituted a national threat.

But, the accounts received from pilots, that are available, seem to all indicate a level of performance and manoeuvrability that hint that an attack would not be a wise move. They also seem not to report aggressive moves on the object’s part.

If a wolf saunters past you in the street, it’s a very good idea not to poke him in the eye.

I have no idea what happens next. But if there is to be progress, there has to be an outbreak of openness and honesty. About as likely as little green men from……….
